There are several ways to get to Casa
Funtana. The most common route is to fly to
Trieste Airport with
RyanAir and
then drive. There are several
carhire firms located at the airport. From the
airport it is about a 2 hour drive to the house.
Driving Instructions are
located here. There are
buses from the airport to the centre of Trieste running every half hour
and costing about £2. The journey takes an hour. It is then about another 2
hours by bus
to Porec. Another alternative is to fly with Easyjet to Ljubljana and to drive from there. Again it takes about 2 hours to drive from Ljubljana. For those travelling from outside London or wishing to fly directly to Croatia here are some other alternatives including: Croatia Airlines to Rijeka Thomson from Gatwick to Venice - about 3 hours by road- or Pula, about 40 minutes' drive Thomson Fly from Coventry to Venice Jet2Com from Leeds or Manchester to Venice Easyjet from East Midlands, Bristol or Gatwick to Venice. Driving from the UK is a possibility - you should allow 2 days each way though. The best route takes you through Germany where the motorways are free, through Austria and Slovenia down to Istria. |
